O-Rings

Whenever removing O-rings, always clean them with a lint free cloth to remove old grease, sand and other deposits. Inspect them for any nicks, cracks or other damage. If any damage is evident, obtain a replacement.

Greasing an O-ring is straightforward. Squeeze a small amount of silicone grease onto your thumb. Work the grease between the thumb, index and middle fingers. You can now pull the O-ring through the fingers. When it's finished, the O-ring should have a gloss appearance. If there are any lumps of grease or foreign bodies, clean the o-ring and start again.
